Dan Hall is the founding director of StorySong Creations.

Dan is also the Director of Music Ministries at The National Shrine of the Cross in the Woods, one of Michigan’s best known and most visited tourist destinations. As a musician, Dan has performed in a wide range of traditional and nontraditional venues, from music festivals, to pubs, to maritime museums. As a composer and producer, Dan co-created and produced theme music for the PBS television show The Northern Experience, as well as the award-winning music video, 1937 about the Sit-Down Strike of 1936-37. In addition, Dan was the musical director, composer and host for the PBS television broadcast of The Union City Radio Hour; co-wrote and performed the soundtracks for the WNEM TV-5 documentary The Great Storm of 1913, as well as Expedition’94, a documentary about the ill-fated Edmund Fitzgerald.

Dan has recorded 5 CD’s featuring ballads which focus on ordinary people caught up in extraordinary events. Dan, a native of Flint Michigan, and a former US Army Chaplain Assistant, now lives in Grand Blanc with his wife, Jill and is the father of three: two sons Christopher and Anthony, and daughter Megan.
